So here is what I have been doing..... OK, I like to do puzzles and I know it is geeky, but you must admit, this one is cool! Eleanor of Aquataine.
and making cakes... here is one I just finished last night for a lady at work. Her son's party is this weekend.
And... sewing. So after I make another cake for yet another person and deliver it on Saturday... It is back to the sewing. For progress and updates, check out my Live Journal (http://goodgirl73.livejournal.com/) later today. I will be posting my progress there. There acutally has been some progress made on the pirate garb. But there is still much work to do.
This past weekend the girls all journeyed to the Great Plains Renaissance Festival in Wichita. We had a wonderful time. I took so many pictures, I truly didn't think I would have time to upload any of them until this weekend, but.... my really nice husband started uploading them for me this evening. It was a wonderful weekend, lovely weather and lovely company. We saw some old friends, met some new ones. Thanks to everyone for your hospitality and patience with our wee ones. A special thanks to the Venetians and the Acrobats for putting up with the girls. And a great big thank you to the King and Queen. The girls just LOVED thier special necklaces that the Queen gave them. What a special trip to the Faire for them.
I can't wait to visit again next year. In the meantime, we look forward to the Faire of the Midlands in Omaha next month. Hopefully I can get my pirate garb done by then.
As you have probably heard (or read), Caitlin, Robin, the
wee ones and I will be attending the Great Plains Renaissance Festival this
weekend. We will be hanging with our brother Antoinne and the venetians.
There is much to do before we depart bright and early tomorrow. I
got a flat tire yesterday so that must be fixed, garb needs to be packed,
lunches had, provisions bought, etc. etc. We shall wake before the sun does,
and begin our journey. Do say hello if we are to see you there. I am
looking forward to much revelry.
THE MAN! at work blocked me from my beloved renspace and so now I only get a chance to really catch up with everyone on the weekends.
If I seem absent, I am truly sorry. During the week I have a few fleeting moments in the morning and evening to check my messages but not much more. And for some reason, I am not getting emails when I have a renspace message or comment anymore. (I don't know what that is all about.)
Well I am off to clean, shop and sew. It is actually a quiet weekend for a change, maybe I will actually get something done. (gasp)
