Do you ever start reading a book, only to find out that it is quite an average book, but you can't put it down? Right now I am reading a book about Capt. Hook in his early years. I like it ok, but I really need to get through it because waiting in the wings is "The other Boleyn Girl" and "Innocent Traitor" a historical fiction book about Lady Jane Grey.
I do the same thing with movies. Sometimes I will watch a movie that I know is going to be bad, just so I can say I saw it. Around my house, we even have a "worst movie I have ever seen list".
So I guess my question is, do you ever read a book or watch a movie, just to say you did? Whether it is good or not? Or am I the only one?
New month, new motivation! February flew by in a whirlwind of laziness, illness and no accomplishments on my part. I am determined to get something accomplished this month!
Joann's is having a pattern sale starting today, so I will go and pick up my pirate shirt pattern (and maybe a few more). Hopefully I can get my shirt rolling this week. My sewing room is a gigantic mess, so I will probably have to clean it before I can actually work in it.
In the interest of motivating myself, I am posting my "sewing to-do" list here so you all can hold me accountable. (I am sorry if I have bored you with this list before, but putting it in print seems to motivate me.)

There are even more swirling around in my head, but these are the ones that have actual plans so far.
Whew. I am sure it will take me several years to get this stuff done. I am a slow seamstress. But now, I have all of you to answer to. So off I go.
Thank you to everyone who left me a lovely Valentines Day greeting. I am sorry that I didn't reciprocate, but I was just trying to make it through the day without anything terrible happening.
You see, several years ago bad things started happening on Valentines Day.
The first year, some genius smashed my car window, and tore up the dash removing my stereo. It wasn't even that good of a stereo. Guess he wanted to give his sweetie a stereo for Valentines Day, and mine looked like good one.
The second year, I was sitting at a stoplight, minding my own business when a car came from the oncoming lane, drove over the median, and smashed into the side of my car. It was starting to snow, and in this town if it is snowing, the police won't come to the scene of the accident. You just have to exchange insurance information and move along if your car is drivable. Well, that is fine and dandy if the person who hit you even has insurance! This guy did not he smelled like beer. Lucky him, I guess. He gave me a bad phone number and never paid for the repairs.
The third year, I came home from work to find my poor kittie (suga buga) had passed away.
When the day started taking lives, the hubby and I decided it wasn't worth it anymore and removed it from our list of holidays. We do let the little one celebrate, as all this happened before she was born, and we don't want to punish her for our bad luck.
We made it through another year went by with no tragic losses or property damage. Whew!
For those of you who don't have the same horrible luck that we do, I hope you all had a wonderful day!!!
*** I thought I would add this picture of my suga buga that Cait made for me.

Have you ever lost your keys? I hate it when I loose my keys. It hasn't happened for a long while now, but Tuesday morning I lost them. We couldn't find them anywhere. My hubby and I were looking everywhere, amidst cries from my daughter " Hurry up, I will be late for school!". She is only 4 and still thinks school is fun.
After much searching with no luck, I finally ask the hub for his extra car key so I can at least get to work, and I can just continue to search for them after work. So off we go.
Half way to school my daughter pipes up "Hey Mom, remember when you dropped your keys on the stairs last night, and I picked them up for you?" Oh yeah, that did happen, so I say "Oh yes, then what did you do with them?" She tells me that I took them and after a couple of minutes of "No I didn't", "Yes you did", I ask her to retrace her steps.
"What did you do when you came upstairs?" I asked her. She thought for a minute.... "I don't know" is the answer I get. So I thought about it. "Ok, so you came upstairs and you got a juice box, then where did you go?" This was followed by a huge GASP and then ....
"MOM, I THINK I PUT YOUR KEYS IN THE REFIDGERATOR. DID YOU LOOK IN THE REFRIDGERATOR?"
