I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.  Now I am off to sew so I will have something to wear to the next faire.

This past weekend the girls all journeyed to the Great Plains Renaissance Festival in Wichita.  We had a wonderful time.  I took so many pictures, I truly didn't think I would have time to upload any of them until this weekend, but.... my really nice husband started uploading them for me this evening.  So go check out my photo gallery of GPRF 2008 Day 1.

It was a wonderful weekend, lovely weather and lovely company.  We saw some old friends, met some new ones.  Thanks to everyone for your hospitality and patience with our wee ones.  A special thanks to the Venetians and the Acrobats for putting up with the girls.  And a great big thank you to the King and Queen.  The girls just LOVED thier special necklaces that the Queen gave them.  What a special trip to the Faire for them. 

I can't wait to visit again next year.  In the meantime, we look forward to the Faire of the Midlands in Omaha next month.
Hopefully I can get my pirate garb done by then.

As you have probably heard (or read), Caitlin, Robin, the wee ones and I will be attending the Great Plains Renaissance Festival this weekend. We will be hanging with our brother Antoinne and the venetians.  There is much to do before we depart bright and early tomorrow.   I got a flat tire yesterday so that must be fixed, garb needs to be packed, lunches had, provisions bought, etc. etc. We shall wake before the sun does, and begin our journey.  Do say hello if we are to see you there. I am looking forward to much revelry.

THE MAN! Why are we always fighting THE MAN!

THE MAN! at work blocked me from my beloved renspace and so now I only get a chance to really catch up with everyone on the weekends. 

If I seem absent, I am truly sorry.  During the week I have a few fleeting moments in the morning and evening to check my messages but not much more.  And for some reason, I am not getting emails when I have a renspace message or comment anymore. (I don't know what that is all about.) 

Well I am off to clean, shop and sew.  It is actually a quiet weekend for a change, maybe I will actually get something done. (gasp)

Well the wee one turned 5 over the weekend. It was a fun party at the skating rink. The kids came out unscathed and the adults only had minor injuries. So all in all it was a good time.  She wanted a Peter Pan theme to her party.  So I thought I would share my amatuer version of a pirate ship cake.  Gotta love that Hook!

Yay for Peter pan.  It was a fun theme to do.  Atleast it has Pirates and Fairies, right?
